The brand new Gold series is the most advanced series Cort has built to date, with some of the highlight features including walnut-reinforced necks, torrefied tops, double lock neck joints, and more. The series` models go for around $500 and offer superb playability and tone. Gold-D6 is the series` only dreadnought model, available only in a fully acoustic variant (hopefully, Cort decides to add an amplified version sometime in the future). D6 offers a flat-top body (solid mahogany back/sides, torrefied Sitka spruce top, black binding on top and back, tortoise pickguard, abalone rosette, UV finish), mahogany neck (comfortable contour, 14th fret dovetail joint, two walnut reinforcement rods, double lock joint), 20-fret Macassar ebony fingerboard (25-3/10" scale, 1-11/16" wide genuine bone nut, dot inlays, custom 12th fret inlay), rosewood bridge (belly contour, bone saddle, ebony string pins), open-gear tuners (gold-plated, installed in classic 3+3 arrangement), Fishman electronics (Flex Blend system with a shoulder-placed preamp and Matrix under-saddle pickup), and hand-scalloped X bracing pattern. Regular selling price for the Gold-D6 hovers around the $500 mark.
